Restaurants near Comfort Suites Bloomsburg

Excellent ambiance for a romantic dinner. Service and food was great. We ate at this restaurant and the location in Philly PA. Enjoyed this experience much more than in Philly.

The staff was extremely accommodating, helpful, friendly and personable from the time I first made our reservation to the time we left after our meal. Everything we ate was outstanding and clearly prepared with such fine attention to detail; the food was flavorful without being overpowering (get the meatballs!!!), and the presentations were beautiful, right down to the dessert spoons they brought out creatively arranged on a platter! Our waitress, Liz, was probably the best server we’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. She was so pleasant, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, all while being funny and down-to-earth. We were seated near the kitchen which wasn’t ideal, and at one point we were very aware of the music having too much of a “club vibe,” which wasn’t to our taste, but neither of these “negatives” ruined our dining experience by any means. In fact, we made another reservation on our way out! While on the pricier side, The Refinery does live up to the hype!

My wife and I celebrated our 41st Wedding Anniversary in style last night. We were also celebrating my 70th birthday. The Circular has been our 'go to' spot for these auspicious occasions for many years. In early January, the place is empty. We always get great seats. Though the meal costs are somewhat high, the food is always good. This go-round, we had a FREE ENTREE certificate (Birthday) and a $125 gift card. Both made the financial 'hit' more bearable. We'll be back again later on this year.

Harvest is one of my favorite restaurants and I am nervous about the proposed changes. The meals were excellent. I started with the Salmon Gravlax, which was prepared in a buttermilk-dill vinaigrette; the pumpernickel crisps were a delightful touch. I then had the prime rib which was one of the best I have ever eaten. Whatever the chef marinated it in was phenomenal. The smoked horseradish whipped potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts nicely balanced it. My brother enjoyed his smoked trout salad and cocoa barbecue ribs. Taylor was our server and she was another highlight as she knew the menu, was professional, courteous, and friendly. She had us laughing and enjoying ourselves. I am hoping that the proposed changes do not diminish Harvest's fine dining experience.
