She was quick to greet us when we sat down and was patient with us when taking our time to decide which tea service to choose. (We chose the Traditional). Yes, there were lots of people during the holiday season, but Mary C was patient and kind, taking time to explain all the yummy things to eat. She even boxed up the extra treats we could not finish. Well worth the time and expense for an invaluable afternoon with Mary C. She is as much an asset as Eloise and we hope the Plaza hangs a portrait of her on their wall as well.More infoThe Palm Court at The Plaza HotelPrice: Very Expensive• American• Midtown East•4.4

Nothing at all under $60 then add tax and 20% service and its around £100 a bottle of ordinary wine! The Boathouse only adds a standard 15% service so all credit to them. The member of staff was really talkative and he was trying to be nice, but it was overpoweringMore infoCentral Park BoathousePrice: Very Expensive• Continental• Upper East Side•4.6
- DDanielNew York City •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 27, 2024Food is 5 star. Service is 5 stars. Everything is appropriate for a 5 star rating … except… one thing…. When I bring a special bottle of wine in for my birthday… don’t charge me $45 for a corking fee! $10 is standard. $25 is upper tier… $45 is stupid. Seriously that’s my only complaint. I go to Christos because it is superb quality. I am fine with paying more for high quality. But $45 for a corking fee… not reasonable.More infoChristos Steak HousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Astoria•4.7
