It was a bit louder than I care for but the food is exceptional

We had a great time getting together with friends. It was the perfect place.

Unique and exquisitely prepared menu. Very attentive and personable staff. My wife and I thought we'd be sensible and split a salad and a sandwich from the weekday lunch menu; both were stunning. The Pear Salad (Red Wine Poached Pear, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, Candied Walnuts, Castelfranco Radicchio, Frisée, Ice Wine Vinaigrette)...enough for two by itself. Also split the Autumn Grilled Cheese sandwich (Apple Maple Bacon Jam, Fontina, Brie on Whole Wheat)...perfectly assembled and toasted. Oh, and the sandwich comes with Choice of Simple House Salad, French Fries or Old Bay Potato Chips. So for us, fries! A menu full of wonderfully hard decisions, all with floor to ceiling glass windows looking out over the pond and park and architecture of The Modern.

It was our 24th anniversary, raining, and the traffic was bad. We were about 10 min. late for our 6pm reservation and it was no problem. We were seated at our favorite section of the bar and our favorite server "Taylor" tended to us with her usual great attitude and excellent service. We shared the 10oz filet and Lobster tail. Steak was perfect and the lobster was incredible! My only minimal complaint was the music was a bit loud. Maybe were too old. LOL We will be back for sure.

Ordered crippled chicken tacos. The ambience was great, server sweet, white rice was delicious and as for the tacos great , the only thing after getting cold were to gummy to eat were the corn tortillas. Not sure if they were just over cooked or heated.
