Sokrates Greek Taverna on Winter Hey Lane in Horwich is a relaxed, friendly restaurant serving dishes from Greece, Cyprus and Eastern Mediterranean.     A get together with fellow retirees to celebrate two birthdays. Good food. We all had quesasdillas but with different fillings accompanied by wine &/or beer &/or soft drinks & followed by coffee. A very enjoyable meal. Was surprised by the number of customers. It was quiet but it was a Monday lunchtime .

    Went to celebrate an 80th birthday. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals, which were delicious. Had very attentive service by our server, Chris, who was very pleasant, respectful and gave us excellent customer service: even noticed the 80th birthday card and presented the 'birthday girl' with a Happy Birthday plate of ice cream and csnt floss,made her night. Thank you Chris.

    Every time I go it’s amazing, not once have I been and not enjoyed the food the atmosphere the service. Nick and Christine efficient fabulous nothing is too much trouble. Get the Meze it’s good value for money and everything on it is amazing
