- GGaryEdinburgh/Midlothian •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoAs usual (The Basement is our go to restaurant when in Edinburgh), the service was great along with delicious food. Not cheap but then nothing is at the moment. Well worth it though.More infoThe BasementPrice: Expensive• Mexican• New Town•4.7
- DDerekLas Vegas •4 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 19, 2024A lukewarm reception as I don’t think the gentleman who booked us in and took our menus uttered a single world to us when we arrived. He just collected the menus from their storage shelf and headed for the table. Not to worry though as (spoiler alert!) the food was excellent! It’s also fair to say he warmed up once we were seated and looked after us well. Overall I’d say this was a very enjoyable evening. We went for the Festive Set Menu which is terrific value! The portion sizes were generous too. My wife’s turkey was thick, juicy and flavourful and my Flat Iron Steak was perfect. A five star experience, just a pity about the blasé welcome.More infoBread Street Kitchen & Bar — EdinburghPrice: Moderate• British• New Town•3.8
