The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59.     We had an excellent lunch today. My only criticism is the staff at times were too attentive clearing glasses and cups from individuals - it was an obvious selling technique which became annoying as it occurred several times by various staff. Most people can request additional drinks if needed. Based upon your tipping criteria this means higher bills and therefore higher tips if more drinks are purchased.

    Had the most outstanding experience at Hawksmoor. Me and my friend went as a late birthday treat us birthday and the staff were incredible our waitress went above and beyond to help us and make sure we had an amazing experience. This is the second time I have visited and service has withheld. The food was absolutely incredible and we are desperate to go back!
