Our sever Liam was amazing. We had theatre tickets so he timed everything perfectly. For three people we had the octopus and shrimp appetizers which were both fantastic. Dinner was monk fish for me which was excellent. My sister had a special of the night a fish stew and my brother in law went for the rib eye. Everyone was happy with their selections. I rarely do dessert but we shared their “egg” dessert. It was really really yummy. Five stars to this place. Think it’s more for special occasions unless you make a lot more money than I do, but no regrets.

This is about the 4th time my friend and I have celebrated our birthdays by going out to 75 Chestnut. I love this restaurant because it’s festive, but casual. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. There were enough vegetarian options. There just weren’t any draft IPA beers available which was disappointing to me. Our server was wonderful. She was so friendly and attentive, and did everything she could to make our dinner perfect. To top it all, the restaurant gave us a special birthday dessert with a candle as a surprise.

The menu at Contessa is a true tribute to the flavors of Italy. We began our meal with the freshest antipasti of Tonnato Crudo. Each bite of this dish consisting of thinly sliced raw tuna, artichoke hearts, and anchovy was a burst of flavor and authenticity. For the primi course, we shared the Spicy Lobster Capellini. Wow! Pasta was cooked perfect al dente; the lobster sauce was amazing. Nice small chunks of lobster throughout. For the main course, we split the Grilled Mediterranean Branzino. Believe me, it was cooked to perfection, flaky and full of delicate flavors. Dessert was the grand finale. The tiramisu was light, airy, and just the right amount of sweet. It was a divine ending to what was already a remarkable meal. What truly sets Contessa apart, though, is the service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure our experience was nothing short of flawless. They offered wonderful wine pairings and gave great recommendations, making us feel like VIPs throughout the evening. It was an exceptional meal we did the 7 course tasting. The only thing was they brought it way too fast! When we asked to slow down it was a lot better but we got 3 courses out of 7 ln less than 15 minutes. We will definitely be back

Our favorite restaurant to dine at when we are in the city. Cozy, quaint, exceptional service and exceptional food. We love the eggplant appetizer, rigatoni Toscano, rigatoni norcina, linguine pesto and the FILLETTO ROSSINI. Best steak in the city.
