- SSamanthaCleveland / Akron / Canton •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoMy family of 6 has been here twice, but I came alone with my husband a third time, so we have been around this block a few times. Of those three times, and a combination of 14 different plates of food over each time, we got something we genuinely enjoyed just once (as in, 1 person enjoyed their food). The kids’ plates are always drowned in sauce (literally the sauce was spilling off the plate for no reason when the meal itself was so little) with not much of whatever pasta was ordered. My husband and I did get quite large portions of each adult meal we ordered; that’s where the price excuse ends. The food tastes generic at best. They decorate their meals nicely but it does not help the flavor whatsoever. Bland is the best word I can use. I took a bite of chicken off my husband’s dish once, and was SHOCKED that it tasted like it had been microwaved from frozen. I had to spit it out. The best thing I can say is they do cook the pasta well; it’s never overdone or underdone like a lot of places struggle with. They’re consistent with presentation. For how beautiful it is in there, and with how friendly the staff are, it’s really a shame that the best part of the meal is the free bread at the beginning. I wanted so badly to love this place (hence why we have spent well into the hundreds over multiple trips here) but the price just isn’t worth it for the quality of the food. If you just want a gorgeous place to chat and sip wine, this is the venue for you! If you’re looking for excellent, better-than-Olive-Garden Italian cuisine, you won’t find that here. Alfredo sauce tastes like it came from a jar, their shrimp scampi dish just tastes like lemons, and the tortellini gets so much tomato dumped on it you have to scoop them out to even taste the thin sauce it comes with. The Chick A Boom dish was the only one we enjoyed, but that was the one with the microwaved tasting chicken too.More infoSortino's Italian KitchenPrice: Moderate• Italian• Sandusky•4.4

Food is always delicious and they have great options for the kids. Service was great too!More infoThe Club SanduskyPrice: Expensive• American• Sandusky•4.5
