Travis and Ryan Croxton debut their spinoff from the highly acclaimed Rappahannock Oyster Bar at Union Market in Washington, DC. This location in the historic Cigar Factory Building on East Bay Street, allows room for Chef Kelly to showcase more of his cuisine to a larger audience, including an incredibly unique 40 seat raw bar. Out of town colleagues and I had a wonderful dinner. Local fish of the day was a black grouper and it was delicious, fresh, and had a nice presentation. Another had the shrimp and grits. Biggest serving I’ve ever seen of that dish in this town. We started with raw oysters and they were on point! Decent wine list and our server,Joe, was fantastic. Don’t sleep on Rappahannock.
