Restaurants near Sommer Bausch Observatory

I've gone to the Boulderado in all it's various forms with my family for Christmas. As a photographer the old architecture and classic features appeal to me (not to mention stained glass and a tall beautiful tree). My breakfast was simple: steel cut oats with fruit and cream. The quality of the ingredients and quantity I received was better than what I make at home. The server was very polite and had a good look for the place. He seemed very overwhelmed by how many tables he had. My family felt impatient with him, but considering how many tables he got slammed with he did great. I didn't give him a five, because he was too busy to fill every last demand we made of him. However, he listened well and got everything correct and efficiently. My mother arrived late, but they let us keep our reservation. My brother was disappointed with his waffles and coffee refills (the only things he cares about at a place). I happily ate the rest for him. We are all middle to lowest class, this is sort of a special thing we do once a year. So my mother and I felt uncomfortable with the snootiness of the other guests, but we are both sensitive creatives so maybe they weren't classists like we felt. Overall I was quite happy with it and felt like I was a bit aggressive in getting the waiter's attention.

Had a wonderful dinner at the Kitchen. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and our server, Nick, was great!

Wonderful experience! A hidden gem! River and Woods is so quaint. I love how it is decorated. Incredible service and amazing food. Great for special occasions and date nights.

Great as always. Easy in, easy out. Portion sizes are large and delicious.

Not only was our server attentive, but other servers seemed to be watching the room to step in as appropriate. We were there early, and the friendly vibe made it feel like The Place to Be. Excellent wine by the glass explanation by the server with a selection I'll try to find to purchase for home use.
