Restaurants near Folsom Dam And Powerhouse

As usual, the food and service were great. Cheerfully split salads without a service charge. Both salmon and short ribs were excellent, as were cheesecake (huge) and gelato (not too sweet) desserts. A little noisy tonight once full, but with widely spaced tables and booths conversation over dinner was easy. We will definitely be back (already have another reservation). Table lamps illuminated food and menus, without shining in our eyes. Bulb color could be adjusted by patrons. Other restaurants should emulate this!

Music was too loud . The food was fabulous. It appears that they were probably short staffed as it took time to get our orders and our check.

Great pick for a late-night dinner. Only 1/2 hour before closing so we picked appetizers and drinks quickly. We left full! Highly recommend the crab cakes, biscuits, and meatballs. My husband also enjoyed the mushroom soup. We will return

Excellent dinner tonight. Had the chicken tacos as usual and they didn’t disappoint. Guac was great tonight as well. Josh and Kellie came over to say hello. Both couldn’t have been nicer. Always a great time here!!

House of Oliver was a nice change of pace from the usual dining experience in Roseville. The small venue was crowded and felt a bit cramped but not claustrophobic. My wife usually uses a wheelchair and that would have been impossible given the small footprint and table arrangement. Thankfully she was able to use her walker to get into the restaurant. We had a reservation for a table for four but there were no tables available. The kindness of a couple at a four top and their willingness to move to a two top was the only reason we were able to be seated. The service was good but I could tell the two servers were stretched thin as they were responsible for tables inside and outside the restaurant. Still, we did not feel like we were neglected. Drinks were excellent. The food was upscale bar food and very good. We appreciated the live musicians. The volume level was great even with live music. We were able to easily converse at our table without issue.
