- SSteveToronto / Ontario •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFine dining at it's best. I had the Tuna Tataki with ginger-chili tamari, wasabi-mayo, crispy sticky rice, spicy bean sprouts, sesame cucumber salad. The Tuna wa perfect and I loved the crispy sticky rice. My wife had the Seafood Linguine with shrimp, bay scallops, mussels, tomato, basil, fresh saffron linguine, bagna butter. I had to steal a little because it look and tasted so good. To start the dinner, we shared the Winter Apple Endive Salad with celery root, maple walnuts, dried cranberries, dijonnaise-poppyseed dressing and Spanish Shrimp with olive oil, garlic, chili, parsley, lemon, butter, bread knot. Both very good and they split the salad into two separate bowls without us having to ask. We finished off the meal sharing the Creme Framboise with cool sweet vanilla custard, warm caramel, raspberries. Delicious. Wine and cocktails paired nicely with dinner. The attention to service can not be overstated here, the place was packed but everyone was treated to first rate friendly service.More infoCaribou Restaurant + Wine BarPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Thunder Bay•4.8

Jacob who greeted us at the door was very welcoming and took our coats and escorted us right to our table. Our waitress Marie was super friendly, and gave excellent recommendations for appetizers, salad and our main courses. Everything was super fresh, delicious and not overly salted which we appreciate. Special thanks to the Kitchen team for your tremendous food prepararion! Our desserts were amazing as well with great attention to detail and flavor. Marie and Jacob really looked after us and made us feel special. We also liked that this restaurant tries to source local ingredients and products. Thank-you for a memorable evening! This is by far the best restaurant in Thunder Bay for food and service. We were so impressed that we made a reservation for our next visit before we left! Merry Christmas to the staff and s kudos for a super evening! Brenda SMore infoGiorg Cucina e BarraPrice: Expensive• Italian• Thunder Bay•4.9

It was cooked perfectly and my meal was hot. That is a really big deal for me! More than the food, the team is always welcoming and professional. I believe that if you are wanting to learn how to offer exceptional customer service, you should visit the Keg and watch how this team executes!
