- CCarolSan Francisco Bay Area •24 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoNakama is a convivial, comfortable place that was open on Thanksgiving day. Our server Benjamin took good care of us. Hard to choose among the many offerings. The Aji, Hamachi, Kasugodai, and Umimasu nigiri were so delicate and fresh. The tempura baby bellos were juicy and just right. We tried the Hotate Bacon and Kushiyaki skewers, but found them not as outstanding as the sushi. The Negihama handroll had especially good nori. We had delicious hot sake and finished off with the not too sweet mango panacotta. - KKaySan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThis was my first experience with Nepali food and each of us (2 omnivores and 1 vegan) enjoyed every bite. My cashew curry was superb and my friends enjoyed the lamb, goat and veggie dishes. Naan and roti were great. Our host was attentive and took care to confirm my allergy concerns with the kitchen. We enjoyed non-alcoholic drinks, although the alcoholic offerings seemed excellent. The Dancing Yak moves among places at the top of my list for casual dining with friends in San Francisco.More infoDancing YakPrice: Moderate• Southeast Asian• Mission District•4.9

We did the delicious Shio chef’s tasting menu - absolutely fantastic! It was a very memorable and stunning meal and I look forward to our next visit!More infoSushi ShioPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Mission District•4.7
- VVascoSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 22, 2024I only put moderate noise because our party was loud, and we were in a cozy nook. Otherwise, the noise level throughout was bustling but not over the top (how I like my Thursday nights out). All I can say about the food and drinks are, be prepared for the unexpected (in a great way). Every drink I had, and dish, had a twist to it, which is something I was looking forward to. The staff was super friendly and ready to help/answer questions, and I can't wait to try everything else I didn't get to taste on the menu. This is a very unique spot I'd like to try regularly!More infoXebec-sfPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Western Addition•4.5
