- TTraceyVancouver / British Columbia •1 review4.0Dined 1 day agoOur food and drinks came at a moderate time. Our entire party didn’t show up till 10 minutes after our reservation, though we did have a friend hold down the table and order our drinks prior our arrival. The food came out nice and hot and delicious. The ambience is very nice (tad cold though, wear sleeves), saw the table next to ours get a cute little fondue. Great location and happy hour is a great bang for your buck. The only downside was it was quite hard to track down our server. Wasn’t too attentive. Although few times she did come by she came with a smile :)More infoDockside RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Northwest• Granville Island•4.4
- EEvelynVancouver / British Columbia •5 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoBooked dinner for my mom’s birthday. Bacon wrapped scallops to start were perfectly cooked - scallops can be easily overcooked. At server’s suggestion I split the massive 20 oz rib steak between my mom and I - it was perfectly done medium as ordered. Added scallops and shrimp on my mom’s portion of steak which she enjoyed immensely. Both portions of the steak were plated beautifully. It was an evening enjoyed by all. Topped off with the Billy Miner pie - of course!More infoThe Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Granville IslandPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Granville Island•4.5

It is very rare for a Chinese restaurant to have such polite, friendly, attentive, efficient, caring, patient service. In Chinese, the term would equal "gentle", the opposite of "rough" which is lacking in many Chinese restaurants. Chang'an ticked all the right boxes for great food and great service. We loved the duck (pre-order), the smoked fish appetiser, baby back ribs (so tender the meat just fell off the bone), jumbo scallops, egg tofu, and the celery/lily/peach resin. The Pork Belly Sliders were a little disappointing as we were expecting soft buns. These buns are more like the northern style pocket bread buns -- baked rather than steamed. Beware the Szechuan Peppercorn Shaved Beef. Delicious but oh, so very very spicy. Only one person of our group enjoyed it because he can eat super spicy. This is more of a special occasion restaurant as dishes were delivered with a flourish. Not somewhere you'd go to for a quick bite. Highly recommend.More infoChang'anPrice: Very Expensive• Chinese• Yaletown•4.6
