Little Italy was built by the fishing industry. Ironside attempts to continue that narrative. It's our contemporary interpretation of the classic fish house and oyster bar. Located in a historic auction house on India St we did a full comprehensive restoration of the building, with three open-air culinary hubs featuring an expansive raw bar, chefs table, and bakery. We tried to be mindful of the past while looking towards the future. A 4% surcharge will be added to all guest checks.Ironside is now taking reservations for patio and dining room seating. Callie represents Chef Travis Swikard's debut solo project after spending a decade working alongside the esteemed Chef Daniel Boulud in New York City. The restaurant’s name, "Callie," comes from the Greek word "kallos," meaning "the most beautiful," and embodies its blend of Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients and terroir, from sea to land from San Diego, Swikard's hometown.     Had heard good things and we were not disappointed. Had the baguette w/salted butter, steak tartare, asparagus gratine, roasted half chicken, and cassoulet. All were outstanding. Service was spot on. They have a very limited full bar, with a few martini selections, but only vodka. Wish they had a nice gin! We enjoyed it so much on Friday evening that we made a reservation for brunch early Saturday morning. Had the croque madame and the smoked salmon tartine. Both came with a very tasty salad and were delicious. Finished with a cronut, which was amazing. Highly recommend Little Frenchie!

    Fabulous food, cozy ambiance & gracious service. This is a family favorite restaurant, and we love coming to Cesarina to celebrate special occasions. The pastas & antipasti are all so delicious. The carpaccio is superb & sliced so thin it's transparent. My husband always orders a pasta allo scoglio (seafood pasta), my daughter pasta with bolognese, and my son & I usually order a house special - which is oftentimes a ravioli or other stuffed pasta. Also, be sure to save room for the absolute best tiramisu ever. It's an easily shareable dessert... and it's made tableside & completely out of this world delicious! My daughter loves Cesarina so much that we've celebrated a family lunch together at the restaurant for the past few birthdays :) The staff are always so warm & friendly, and we've loved the keepsake Polaroids of her every year! Mille grazie, and thank you so much for making every meal so memorable.

    Great experience with a lovely ambiance. The food surpassed out expectations . We started with The provolone fondue and pretzel bread. 5 stars. I had the Korean skirt steak. An abundance of flavors with a slight kick. My husband had the Bolognese. I felt that is was a bit on the sweeter side but my husband said it was perfect. For dessert, we have the Key Lime Crème Brûlée. It was real good but the tart was a bit too much for me to finish.

    We had a lovely new years brunch (though I do wish they actually served brunch fare). Everything was very delicious! The service, while very friendly and accommodating, got a little slow toward the end as it got busier, which is understandable. It would’ve been okay except we were in a booth that was one of two they have for parties of six but maybe six short, slim people? Pretty uncomfortable, especially in that corner spot, I spent the whole meal with my arms up over the back of the booth. I’m chubby but the rest of my party were regular sized men and one slim woman and we all felt squashed. But otherwise, a beautiful meal on a lovely day.

    Dining at Serea was an absolute delight from start to finish. The service was flawless, with every detail thoughtfully attended to, making us feel welcome and well cared for throughout the meal. The food is an inspired fusion of Mediterranean kebab-style cuisine and high-quality seafood ingredients, offering a fresh homage to Middle Eastern flavors. Each dish is beautifully crafted, showcasing a seamless blend of tradition and innovation. The presentation of the food deserves special mention. Our sea bass was arranged to appear as though the fish was making a sharp U-turn, adding a sense of dynamic movement to the dish—it was almost too beautiful to eat! Taste-wise, the swordfish kebab was sublime, melting in your mouth with each bite. The scallops in the risotto were equally remarkable—silky, tender, and perfectly balanced with the creamy rice.
