Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients.Proper attire required. We enjoyed The Select for their Christmas Eve Prix Fixe. We had the trout and vegan plate and loved both. The sorbet and pear tart were excellent. The Reindeer Don’t Drink mocktail was delicious. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and our waitstaff was highly attentive!

My wife loves their crab cakes. I like their prices. You can get a decent class of wine for $9 or 10 bucks. Lots of good choices. The smoked trout spread appetizer is really special. Had a nice Christmas Eve dinner there after church.

Fantastic experience. From the moment you enter, the hostess greets you with great friendliness. Our waiter Jean Carlos was very competent in telling us about the concept and describing in detail the menu of drinks and food. It may be obvious, but the dishes taste like real Mexico. You are immediately transported to the smoke aisle of the Oaxaca market. From the plantain croquettes with a mirror of mole, the wagyu tlayuditas are spectacular, the chicken with coloradito mole, but above all the bone with marrow “tuétano” is the star of the night!!! We will return immediately on each visit to the city.
