The food was excellent. The fresh baked bread and all dishes seemed like they were prepared with care.

Wonderful food and experience. My wife is Italian from New York City. She told Mary, one of the owners, that this was the best Italian food she has had outside New York and Italy. The service was expedient, the food was hot, the Lavazza coffee was delicious and the perfect complement to the cannoli. Ristorante Filippo went to the top of our list of Italian restaurants in Southeast Louisiana.

We have been here several times and each time the food, service, and ambiance are stellar. We were celebrating Valentine’s Day the day after and we had a cozy, romantic area with hearts sprinkled over the table. Thanks you Ruth’s for a wonderful evening!!!!

The staff from the front seat to the wait staff was so warm and accommodating! We had Kristen as our server and we will ask for her each time from now on. The steaks and the salmon were so good and the salad was huge and so fresh!! It was a delightful evening!

My wife and I ate here for Valentine’s Day. We had the Oyster Bordelaise appetizer to start. The oyster were cooked perfectly, with a light batter but still an excellent texture and very tasteful seasoning and accompaniment. Caesar salad was also ordered and one of the better salads I’ve had in a quite some time. I order the 6oz Steak and my wife had the shrimp pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly, excellent sauce and sizeable shrimp (also cooked nicely) Steak was great and so were the roasted potato and mushroom argodolce. First time there. We will definitely be back. Service was also excellent.
