- SSaulDetroit / Eastern Michigan •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoI liked the intro at the beginning you come to the room with Cómales de Barro and introduced to different tortillas and Salsas. We got to a corner and I was not able to see much and salsas were far from where I was and they only brought me 2 of the 4 they offered at the beginning but not a big deal. We tried 3 appetizers and 4 different Moles and all were amazing and unique flavors. I would come back with a friend. Appetizer was delicious Cascara de Nuez.More infoTierra del solPrice: Expensive• Traditional Mexican• Oaxaca•4.5
- DDianaVIPMiami - Dade •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoI had the pleasure of dining at this charming spot, and I have to say, it was an absolute treat for the senses. The 6-course tasting menu was perfectly balanced, offering a delightful mix of fresh ingredients with bold, traditional Oaxacan flavors. Each dish was expertly crafted, with incredible attention to detail – nothing was too heavy, and everything was served at the perfect temperature. The flavors were vibrant and beautifully executed, especially the roasted eggplant and the dish featuring zucchini flowers, which really stood out for their depth and uniqueness. The desserts were also a highlight, with just the right amount of sweetness – nothing cloying, just a perfect balance. The ambiance of the place is truly special – surrounded by chickens, roosters, and their chicks, creating a very authentic and homely feel (in tribute to the restaurant’s name). What made it even more perfect for us? It’s pet-friendly, so we didn’t have to leave our furry friend behind. Definitely a must-visit – highly recommend you go without hesitation!More infoCriolloPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Oaxaca•4.6
- TTimSan Antonio •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe loved it.. the amuse amusebouche was fantastic, perfect octopus. Fideo was simple but perfect on a chilly and unexpected rainy December day , the sea bass was exquisitely cooked with minimal seasoning.. in a city where the tendency to use every flavor in Oaxaca on each dish - for me this was lovely and refreshing in simplicity.. service was equally wonderfulMore infoPitiona Cocina de AutorPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Oaxaca•4.5
