Kitchen in the Desert is a Caribbean and New American restaurant located just outside the Twentynine Palms entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. We pride ourselves in making high quality food from scratch using fresh ingredients and providing a comfortable environment to enjoy it in. We have a full bar plus beer and wine and are open nightly from 5 to 10pm. *Please be advised that all reservations are for outdoor seating, so please dress accordingly.

A chic and sophisticated décor provides the setting for our distinctive "world cuisine", a provocative mix of zesty influences that creates a delightful dining experience in Palm Springs, California. First of all , thank you to the amazing employees that make 849 so special, specifically Ruby. She is great. 849 is one of our regular spots. Love the GF, vegan/vegetarian dishes and non alcoholic options. (I do miss the cauliflower dish. Sorry… the cabbage just doesn’t work for me) Love you guys and thank you.

Really pleased with our experience - great food, fun atmosphere, attentive service. Had a wonderful time and would definitely return when we are in the area again (traveled from the East Coast and this restaurant was one of the reasons for the trip!).
