From Grandpa to father, the restaurant business has been a natural part of their daily life. They decided 15 years ago to create their first restaurant in Cannes, Le Petit Paris, Parisian brasserie, located in the middle of the international film festival city.In order to give the opportunity of an unforgettable experience in Cannes to their international clientele, they decided to run a business on the beach with the combination of well being, relaxed and lay down on the beach with a cocktail and enjoying a gastronomic food.David and Fanny were always striving to be surrounded by great collaborators in order to provide a real “savoir-faire” to their clients. They have been known worldwide now thanks to their hard work and dedication.

At breakfast I had the best congee I ever had in the United States at San Laurel. The ingredients were spectacular. Home made dried pork hash was made from jamon iberico and their XO sauce was also homemade by the chef. I shall order congee for breakfast every time I stay at Conrad Downtown LA.

Their menu changes completely every few months, but we've been going regularly for over 2 years, and have never had a bad meal. We've always had good service as well. Although not inexpensive, their meals offer a reasonable value compared to other restaurants within easy walking distance of the Chandler Pavilion/Music Center.

This was our first time to see a performance of the LA OPERA. I wanted to have dinner before the performance and felt that something at the Music Center itself would be best because of the traffic. Good call. Viewing the menu in advance of our evening, it seemed good but frankly, I had only moderate expectations. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! We started dinner out with a shared Caesar Salad which was excellent and the bread was fantastic. For dinner, my wife had the Steak Frites and I had the Brick1/2 Chicken. They were both superb. Our server was extremely polite and attentive. The noise level was low. You can talk and actually hear what the other person is saying. This is going to be our new go-to restaurant prior to attending performances.

This was our first visit to Asterid this season. We were going to the Opera so we had 5:30 reservations. Our hostess was so nice finding a perfect table for the 4 of us. Our waitress Malak noted the time we needed, making excellent suggestions. She surprised us with Prosecco for a toast for my husband’s birthday. The appetizers were served quickly & delicious with perfect martinis. We shared several salads & main dishes. Topped off by the delicious Budino dessert. Malak was friendly , professional, & knowledgeable. We look forward to more pre theater dinners . Thank you for the excellent service by all servers & the great team!!

The ambience of this rooftop oasis was RUINED by a young couple next to us who were baiting each other into fights and blasting videos on their phones at each other. Given we were one of 3 tables on the whole terrace, I would have appreciated better space between diners. Food was special and service was otherwise terrific.
