- NNicoleNew Orleans / Louisiana •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoI am visiting Chicago for a few weeks, and I have eaten at your restaurant twice. Each time I was privileged to encounter Manager Michael, and Jaafar. During these visits to the restaurant, they were both perfect representations of the RL brand! Each time they were both super attentive to me, as well as all of the RL guest. During my visits, I witnessed each of them resolve issues and exceed the expectations of each guest. Their efforts expressed concern and gratitude to each diner. On several occasions I witnessed each of them handle potential issues with grace, resolving issues and putting out the fire before it had a chance to flare up. The experienced left me felling welcomed and gave me the impression that I was important to the restaurant and brand. Often time African American customers are disregarded or spoke down to by restaurant staff. During my visit each of them witnessed this mistreatment by customers or other staff and immediately did their part to correct the wrong and to ensure I had an excellent experience….and that I did! They both did their part to ensure that I had wonderful time. Each time I visited,I left with a smile on my face. It’s my belief that God gives some people the gift of kindness and generosity and I believe both of them have that gift and I would like to humbly thank them for being considerate, kind and generous, and for making my experience wonderful! Life is short and kindness is important and I believe in my heart that they both understand that, and know how to treat others. RL, Thank you for having them both on your staff and for allowing them to bless others with their presence! Meeting them was the highlight of my visit to CHICAGO.More infoRL RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.9
- JjoellevipChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agomy family and i (party of 6) dined here on a saturday night and had an incredible experience. for drinks the sangria and the calavera were the standouts. neither were too sweet which was perfect. for appetizers we had the tétela and queso fundido (our servers recommendations) as well as the hamachi ceviche. i would highly recommend all! especially the ceviche - the mango gelee was amazing and the fish tasted very fresh. for dinner, everyone at the tables favorite was the costillas de res (short rib) it was clearly a high quality cut of meat and was cooked perfectly. the cochinita pibil (pork shank), barbacoa (lamb neck), and a la talla (red snapper), were all fantastic as well and we ate almost everything. our server spencer was polite and attentive and made our experience a 10/10. our only regret was not having enough time to try the dessert menu but we will definitely be back!More infoTzucoPrice: Moderate• Mexican• River North (Chicago)•4.6
- OTOpenTable DinervipDenver / Colorado •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoNot my first time at Le Colonial but my first review. Relaxed ambiance with a Vietnamese theme. We were courteously seated and served, the service is as expected from a high-end dining experience. However, the food was the star of our dining experience. The mocktail lyche iced tea was 2 of 5 stars, probably wouldn’t order again. The chicken dumplings were amazing 10/10! Very flavorful accompanied by an equally tasty sauce. A definite must try. My first time trying pho which was delicious another 10/10. Crisp yet comforting broth flavors, perfect for the cold Chicago night. The crispy shrimp and pork rolls were also very good 8/10. For entrees, their specialty fried rice was excellent 10/10. The shaking beef was another favorite must try 10/10. Roasted salmon and chicken curry were good but not on par with our other menu choices, 6/10.More infoLe Colonial - ChicagoPrice: Very Expensive• Vietnamese• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.8

- MMinuvipChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had a reservation at 8 pm but got there a little early. They could not seat us right away. A table did not become available for sometime after 8 as well. Their waiting area was terrible almost non existent. Then they seated us by the door which had a cold draft blowing in every time someone walked in. Upon our request they were very quickly able to move us to another table luckily. The food was outstanding and so was the service. They have a complete vegetarian menu available too. Very flavorful perfectly prepared dishes.More infoAlpanaPrice: Moderate• American• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.7
