- LLisaDumfries and Galloway •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoWe visited for the first time for my boyfriends 40th. It fell on a Wednesday so it was an easy option to book for the steak sharer option. The value was unquestionable before we even set foot through the door! £50 for 2 people to be fed and watered it incredible! Anyway, we arrived, all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We were offered drinks almost immediately. Our server was lovely, offered above and beyond what we expected and gave good recommendations on options available whilst just having a wee chat. While we waited on our food to arrive we had some salt and vinegar popcorn to snack on....very moreish The atmosphere was so relaxed. Christmas tunes playing in the background and beautifully decorated too. Of course we were there for the food and were blown away with the value versus the quality. The steak was cooked to perfection 👌🏼 the mac and cheese was delish 😋 the chips were immense and the extra onion rings were possibly the best we have ever tasted 🤌🏼 Even though the birthday boy was feeling unwell he really enjoyed his evening and we can't wait to come back again. Will defo be recommending to family and friends and putting a gift voucher on the next gift wish list 😉More infoThe Back Street RestaurantPrice: Moderate• British• Dumfries•4.8

- SSheena BNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 2, 2024As ever, excellent food and excellent customer service. Love the ambience here. No pressure and relaxed whilst being attentive. I travel over an hour to get here and have introduced friends, who themselves have returned and spread the love! What a marvellous place. Whiskey gift shop (and other goodies) a must and staff in the gift shop so helpful and full of advice. Thank you.More infoThe Maltings Coffee ShopPrice: Moderate• Café• Dumfries•4.8
- DDavidCumbria •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 18, 2024The Pour House is hands down one of the best spots in Whitehaven! I popped in with some friends, and we were blown away. The atmosphere is just perfect – cozy, stylish, and full of good vibes. The cocktails are on another level. You can tell the bartenders really know their stuff because every drink we had was spot on. They’ve got a great selection of drinks, and the food was absolutely delicious too – everything we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully presented. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were so friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. They gave great recommendations and made us feel really looked after. Honestly, if you’re in Whitehaven, you’ve got to check this place out. Whether it’s for a quick drink or a proper night out, The Pour House has it all. I can’t wait to go back! Definitely a five-star experience.More infoThe Pour HousePrice: Moderate• Unspecified• Whitehaven•4.9
