- AAshleeSacramento / Sacramento Valley •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoEveryone who worked for the restaurant made for an amazing experience from check in to the final moments when we were given roses. Food and drinks were great, I ordered the Cuddle fish drink which was delicious along with a cup of clam chowder and the Captains plate. Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding!!! Thank you for a great night!More infoOld Fisherman's GrottoPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Monterey•4.8

We were greeted by our server immediately and she gave us the information about the specials of the day. She was gracious, and was very prompt with returning with our wine. She then took our order and checked back with us after our food arrived to make sure all was as it should be. I ordered the tempura sea bass tacos which I think are over the top delicious, and my friend ordered the grilled sand dabs, which she also loved. When she placed the order for the sand dabs, the server was quick to indicated the the grilled sand dabs had a panco crust, and may not look grilled. We thought that was a very thoughtful mention, so my friend would not be surprised if she did not see grill lines on the fish. The food was really delicious, and the recommended wine was perfect with the entree. We two friends were able to have a lovely conversation during dinner, even as the restaurant began to fill, and the noise level was such that our conversation did not have to be yelled across the table. We were also seated at one of the generous sized booths, which are so comfortable and afforded us a view across the restaurant where we observed many happy diners. The owners of the restaurant are the most gracious individuals I have encountered. You get a very comfortable experience. I made reservations, and they seated us as soon as we entered the restaurant. I cannot say enough about the owners and the quality of the products they prepare. I have been going to restaurants owned by them for over 20 years and I have never had a bad meal, a mistaken entree, or a rude wait person in those years. They know what they are doing and they do it really well.More infoKona Steak and SeafoodPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Monterey•4.8
- MMARYVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •14 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe view of Monterey bay is awesome. We always see sea otters and occasionally sea lyons. The salad bar is always very fresh with a great variety of fresh fruit and a nice variety of salad fixings. My husband had the lobster & shrimp carbonara and I had the Australian lobster tail which was delicious. This is our favorite go-to restaurant in Monterey. We’re always very happy with both the service and the foodMore infoChart House Restaurant - MontereyPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Monterey•4.4
- JJenniferVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •14 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOur food was delicious. My husband had the Petrole and I the braised, slow cooked spareribs. Presentation lovely and so delicious. The garden salad was delicious and I loved the creamy salad dressing. It was something candied. We dined in the atrium which is spectacular and we are so glad we were out there. It gets loud in there, or at least for those of us over 60. Glad we experienced it but will dine in another room next time. Jennifer our server was knowledgeable and fun to talk too. Her recommendations were spot on.More infoSardine FactoryPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Monterey•4.7
- AAshleyVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •33 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe are self proclaimed foodies and appreciate great food and service. Our experience at Stokes Adobe was outstanding! We started with the mushroom bisque and broccoli cheddar salad, both were delicious. The mushroom bisque was simple but packed with delicate mushroom flavor and the broccoli salad was crave worthy with its creamy, lemony dressing and generous amount of salty Parmesan and crispy bread crumbs on top.. so good! Then came the entrees, which included the most tender, juicy pork chop I've ever tasted and (drum roll please) the BOLOGNESE... omg... it was life changing!! Literally the most delicious pasta dish on the planet. We saved just enough room to enjoy the beignets for dessert and they were worth it. Light, airy, and tossed in cinnamon sugar... the perfect end to a 5 star meal! We cannot wait to return to Stokes Adobe.More infoStokes Adobe RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Californian• Monterey•4.8
