Restaurants near Maxwell Family Field

Our party of 5 women of a certain age were thrilled by the lovely Tuesday Tea lunch - what a treat! While there are other menu selections, we decided to we would indulge in the classic English tea. The wide array of finger food sandwiches, scones, croissants and desserts was a feast both for the eye and appetite. The service was charming. The star of the experience is the venue itself - the beautiful Berkeley City Club designed by Julia Morgan is worthy of a visit in and of itself. We will be back!

We shared a seasonal salad, which they kindly split for us, a lovely crab pasta, and a beautifully prepared swordfish main. Service was attentive and overall quality and ambiance were what we have come to expect from Via del Corso. It is on the pricy side but we will be back.

My table loved their dishes but mine was the steak frites which was passable, falling short of preparation and quality. I order it to be medium, but it was cooked to medium well on most of the steak but one side was very rare. I never had such an inconsistent steak like that before. The meat was tough, too. I think I will pass on this dish on my next visit and get the smash burger which looked amazing. The cocktails and deserts were very good, as well.

Acre is an amazing restaurant. It’s a rare gem where the execution across the board is outstanding. It consistently delivers excellent food in a great atmosphere with top notch service. I’ve been for a casual night with friends to an anniversary dinner and it was perfect for both- a great time with fantastic food!
