Since I was 13 years old, I've been in the restaurant industry. I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value. My favorite place to eat in the Rivertowns. The food never disappoints. While I have my favorites like the radiatore pasta with lamb bolognese, I get excited by the specials and the opportunity to try something new.

This was our first visit to Il Sorrento. The service was excellent. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the portion size was generous. We expect to return soon.
