Great food, awesome customer service! The atmosphere was a little loud but over all had a great bday experience.

We almost always eat in Oakland, Berkeley and SF because it's hard to find good food and flavors through the tunnel. Hideout nails it. The lamb shank, the fried chicken, the squash all as good as you get in the City. Delicious. Could still use some work on their craft cocktails, but the food was excellent.

Found this neighborhood restaurant while traveling through Pleasant Hill. Conveniently located not far from 680. Food was perfectly done and the restaurant was busy with other people enjoying the food. Definitely a worthwhile place to visit.

The Cooperage was very busy when we arrived with many waiting for tables. We were seated promptly for our reservation and the noise level was pretty high with the restaurant full and the pull-down doors closed due to weather. Service was friendly but there were gaps in attention at times. We were not in a hurry, but our entrée orders was not taken until after we had finished eating our appetizers and it took a long time for our entrees to arrive compared to tables around ours. I am sure the busy night with a full house was a factor. Food was great, appetizers tuna tartare and brussels sprouts, entrees steak frites, fried chicken, ahi sandwich, and short ribs. The group enjoyed craft cocktails, wine and draft beer. Look forward to our next visit.

Very friendly from the front desk to the servers. I want to give a shout out to Angel, our server - very nice young man. He is very friendly, polite, and very accommodating. Food great as well. Just noisier that I am used to. But will definitely be back.
