I enjoyed my seafood pie, but I felt there was too much mashed potato in proportion to the amount of seafood in it. The arugula salad was terrific - plenty for two of us - as was the whipped feta with pears. My husband very much liked his meatloaf (it looked like a small portion of the meat to me, but he was fine with it). Our son really liked the scallops as well. There were five, which was generous, but the MP was $55, which is quite high for Brattleboro. We also weren't thrilled when our bill arrived and we found out that the sparkling water was $10, whereas our server only asked if we preferred filtered or sparkling water without mentioning the cost. We will gladly return, but knowing the cost in advance. The menu had some really good choices - the food was yummy and interesting without being dauntingly esoteric.More infoPlated Restaurant & BarPrice: Expensive• American• Brattleboro•4.7

Kudos to the creator of the outstanding cocktails and mocktails which were unique and delicious. Our family holiday time spent together in the warm and inviting tavern was so wonderful, due to the staff and especially our attentive server, Crystal.More infoThe Hermitage InnPrice: Expensive• American• Dover•4.4

The cheese board was tasty as was the arancini appetizer. Portions were very healthy and the sides were all delicious and well prepared. We wound up sharing bites amongst the table and everyone was stuffed when we finished. Service was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant had a good vibe. Only negative is, being in a hotel, there was a mix of kids watching videos on their ipads and couples out for a pre-holiday dinner. We have eaten here before and would definitely come back.More infoCopper Grouse - Taconic HotelPrice: Expensive• American• Manchester•4.5
