Chef Tory has created such a diverse menu that makes it hard to make a selection. Every detail of execution is perfection. - MMethosTampa / Central Florida West •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoFirst time visit. Everyone from reception to waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely wonderful. Happy hour was on when we got there; half off whiskey and whiskey cocktails. My wife saw the first listing and didn't have to look and farther: Ziggy Stardust Old Fashioned. She had 2 and loved them. We had the Gooey Sweet Corn Souffle to start, then moved on to the Fried Chicken, which we ordered the Heirloom Carrots and Grits as accompaniments. Last we had Banana Pudding Creme Brulee. The entire meal was fantastic. We took home half the chicken and sides. The price for the carrots and grits was a little high, especially when it was probably about 1.5 accompaniments carrots, but they were still worth it. Can't wait to come back!More infoRoot & Bone - HendersonvillePrice: Moderate• Contemporary Southern• Hendersonville•4.5
- MMaryAustin •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWhat a great find! Hadn't heard about this place, but stumbled upon it on Open Table. Had no idea what to expect as it was a bit of a hike for us to get there for a Tuesday date night. We couldn't have been more delighted! Cozy atmosphere with big roaring fire, lovely bar setting, and communal tables. We arrived at 7:15pm so couldn't see the outside setting which would be nice in daylight. Service was amazing by Michael with great descriptions about the food. We had the duck rillettes and bok choy appetizers -- both amazing, could eat that bok choy every day! My husband had the bouillabaise and I had the braised short ribs again both full of flavor! Chef Daniel came out to say hello and gave us some background on the place. Warm, cozy, great food, personable -- couldn't have asked for more! We'll be back!More infoThe Silo Cookhouse at The Horse Shoe FarmPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Hendersonville•4.7
