I took my granddaughter here for our annual granddaughter Christmas dinner. I’m 63. She’s 14 lol. We just had a standard off the menu meal. I had the Sambuca shrimp and the daily pasta was gnocchi. Pretty standard for a higher end pasta place. we have been many times as this is her treat. My entire meal was so salty I could not even eat.Gnocchi. Was very nice and polite about it offered other options but like then I was already halfway through the other portions of my meal. What really bothered me about this evening was that Ghocchi is a fairy very simple dish. It should be tasted in the kitchen by the chef to make sure that it is an acceptable – to their standards after all it was daily, so that meant that everybody was going to be having some. I actually sent that to the manager who is very nice chap. No need to bring anything else. I just wanted them to know for others. I’ve been home a couple hours and I’ve been drinking about a gallon of water because I’m thinking that the Sambuca shrimp also had a ton of it in there. - AAlidaEdmonton / Northern Alberta •10 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoIf you haven't been to Argos, you really must go. Last night was my first visit and I will definitely be going again. What an absolute gem to have in the city of St Albert. There is ample parking which is always a good thing. The design/ decor of the restaurant is warm and inviting. The tables were all beautifully. It was a busy night but our server arrived quickly and she was excellent. The menu is amazing and we quickly ordered two appies and our shared entree. The food came out quickly and was prepared to perfection. The bacon wrapped figs (4) were quite possibly one of the best things I have ever tasted. The hummus and bread was also delicious. The seafood pae-sotto was better than i could have imagined. It was filled with fresh seafood and the presentation was beautiful. Incredible flavour that only comes from food that is well thought out and well prepared. We both enjoyed the evening and our meal very much.More infoARGOS Bar | BistroPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• St. Albert•4.6
