Marche, located in Eugene, Oregon, opened in August 1998. The restaurant, which seats 80 guests, has an exhibition kitchen featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. There is also a stylish bar and a large outdoor dining area, covered with awnings and umbrellas and surrounded by a garden of herbs and edible flowers. Marche takes its name from the French word for market – a word that describes our location in the bustling 5th street Market and more importantly, our philosophy of cooking.     We used to go to Sweetwaters often and were so sorry when it closed due to a fire. Once it reopened we were eager to see the changes. We had weekend brunch and the space was beautifully redesigned-familiar but freshened up and so comfortable. Still a wonderful view of the river. The food on offer was varied and excellent, prepared exactly as specified. I had eggs, chicken sausage and rye toast, while my companion had the fish and chips. There were 3 large portions of fish and the french fries were perfect and crispy. The ambiance (during one of the busiest shopping days of the year!) was peaceful, unhurried and such a relief from the hectic mall next door. Food was a reasonable price, especially for such quality and excellent service.

    Finally a great steakhouse in Eugene!! From the minute you walk into Kennedy's, you feel welcomed! We were there for my son's fiance's birthday and when we got to our table, there was a hand written note from the manager (I am assuming), wishing her a happy birthday! Our waitress was phenomenal, very attentive! The food starting from the bread to the appetizers, main dishes and dessert were all delicious! I highly recommend Kennedy's Steakhouse!!
