Restaurants near Old State Capitol Kentucky

First time dining at Cypress & Oak and had a wonderful experience. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The “Mull it Over” hot cocktail was delicious and fit the comfy atmosphere so well. The presentation of the entrees were as high quality as the taste. My filet medallions were cooked to perfection. I’m ecstatic we have such an elevated dining experience in Frankfort. I can’t wait to go back to try other items on the menu.

As always, we had a lovely evening. The cook on our steaks was perfect, sides delicious, cocktails and wine prompt and mixed perfectly! Sophia was an absolute delight! It’s not often I’d request a server upon return but, I’d be seated with her anytime!

Consistently wonderful! We enjoyed Happy Hour wine, Old Fashioned, and pretzel & beer cheese - all great! Our entrees were Caesar Salad with Chicken, and the Tofu Stirfry - also equally great! I try to eat less meat these days, and the tofu dish is perfect. Compliments to the chef! Only complaint today was the background music was turned up really loud.

The food and service were excellent! I'm glad to see Frankfort is getting more fine dining options.

It was a great Valentine’s Day. The atmosphere is always fun and very welcoming.
