Please be advised. Friday and Saturday's dinner service is Exclusive Omakase experience only. Omakase chef tasting menu is $175 Per Person (price does NOT include beverage and gratuity). Each section will take 120 minutes. (4:30pm to 6:30, 7:30 to 9:30)For all parties, 100% of cost per person + tax will be charged at the time of booking. Cancellations made within 48 hours prior to the reservation date will not be refunded.     The place is nice and quiet, very small and cozy. The food was really good and I was happy with every dish on the Valentines Day special. It was very pricey and they only serve beer and wine. I will go back for the food though.

    Dinner before a Mondavi Center event. Staff are super nice-professional-accommodating. The food is superb. We had crab cakes-moist, deliciously flavorful; Asian Pear salad; lamb chops (juicy, tender, seasoned to perfection, duck, salmon and scallops. We were a party of 4. We were treated extremely well!

    I am running out of superlatives when describing the Omakase experience at Hikari. As far as I am concerned it is the only high-end dining place in Davis worthy of the name. On my last visit I was accompanied by a couple of friends who enjoyed it to the utmost. Although they are Japanese food lovers this was a new and marvelous experience for them. If you want to treat somebody to a great dining experience I suggest you take them to Hikari.
