We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019. We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. When myself and guests arrived it was extremely busy with servers very busy also. As we were a bit early our table wasn’t yet ready but a chair was provided for me as I’m disabled and couldn’t stand for long. When we were seated at our table the serving staff were very attentive and explained how we could get our carvery. The meal itself was delicious with three different meats and a lovely choice of hot vegetables. The staff were extremely polite and attentive. I would highly recommend and will revisit again.

We booked for 4 people and was greeted at the door and taken straight to our table. On way he told us of the specials of the day. We ordered and our meals took about 20mins to arrive and was delicious. Three had the Texas burger which was a special of the day, and I had the fish and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce. We all enjoyed our meals, and will be back again soon.
