Food was excellent as always, Garrett was a terrific server and the environment was great for our group to celebrate. - NNicolevipSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI rarely take the time to write reviews but this one really deserves it. We hail from San Francisco so we weren't expecting much from an Italian restaurant in Austin. We were blown away. We ordered the snapper and special pasta (chicken filled ravioli.) The snapper was cooked on their plancha and retained it's moistness. The pasta is on the top five list of pastas I have ever had in my life. I think they must have used smoked chicken from their wood burning grill. We weren't in the mood for beef, but wish we were as everything that was coming off that grill looked over the top good. We were fortunate enough to be sat at the kitchen counter (or they accidentally gave away our table for 2 and had to seat us there) so we had a front row seat to the magic that was coming out of the kitchen. This is kind of a nerdy comment, but the expediter gets an A+. They had a very large party upstairs (like 8 family style dishes at a time) and some how he was able to get all the other food out in a timely manner.More infoRed Ash ItaliaPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.9
- JJoanneAustin •20 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 4, 2024My husband and I enjoyed a birthday lunch at City Post Chophouse. We had a reservation at 1:30pm but the restaurant wasn't crowded at this time on a Thursday (lunch hours are 11-2). I had the sausage salad - our waiter offered a half portion when I didn't want a large salad with my entree. It was excellent - a very different combination that worked well. I also had the baked salmon entree - the salmon was cooked perfectly, nice dill cream sauce and cooked spinach with garlic. It was all delicious. My husband had the burger and French onion soup, and he enjoyed every bite! We shared a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting as a birthday dessert. I indicated a birthday on the reservation, and the restaurant really made me feel special:) We will certainly be back!More infoCity Post ChophousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Georgetown•4.8
- JJamesWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 3, 2024This was our first time in La Riv Georgetown. WOW! Food and service were fabulous. Finally, a great restaurant in Georgetown. Our waitress, Heidi, was so pleasant and attentive to our taste and made us feel at home. Management is proudly on top of the restaurant from top to bottom. I'm a New York Italian, so I appreciate great Italian food. Here it is!! Pastas are homemade on the spot for each order (we sat next to the pasta station and admired their skills). Wedge salad is the best we've ever had. Pastas, pizza, and salads come at reasonable prices. We loved the spinach ravioli and half chicken. Watched a full restaurant delight in a variety of delicious meals. We're coming back, Thanks to the La Riv staff.More infoLa Riv - GeorgetownPrice: Expensive• Italian• Georgetown•4.6
