Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018. As owners of R Wine Bar, Riccardo and Marybeth are passionate about one thing: people. They believe that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.     Perfect place for a quiet couple dinner enjoying a glass of wine, a quality plate of pasta and a scoop of gelato or affogato. The lobster pasta (sorry - horrible with the Italian names) was delicious - as has been anything we try. The service is knowledgable, friendly and prompt. Not our first time - it is a regular stop!

    There were 6 people in our party. We had a variety of entrees ranging from steaks to salmon to pasta. Everyone said their food was delicious. The prices were reasonable. The service was excellent. We appreciate that you are able to make reservations. We will definitely be eating there again.
