- OTOpenTable DinerVirginia •4 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoI came here to celebrate my significant other’s birthday dinner. We had a reservation for 6 PM and were seated by 6:15. Our waitress, Colbi, was very polite and attentive throughout our meal. To start, we ordered the Salmon Rolls, Salmon Bites, and Calamari. The Salmon Rolls were enjoyable, though I wasn’t a fan of the sauce. The grilled Salmon Bites were great since they were cooked just the way we wanted. The Calamari was tasty, but it was a bit salty. It was served on two pieces of bread that soaked up all the grease, making it somewhat difficult to eat, although the sauce that accompanied it was excellent! For our main courses, we chose the Red Snapper and the Seafood Mac. Both dishes were fantastic! The Seafood Mac is definitely enough to easily serve two and a half people. The Dirty rice that came with the Red Snapper was spicy and hard, I could have went without it. The drinks were nice as well. The Red Snapper was exceptional, and the Plantains were the best I’ve ever had. The Brussels Sprouts were also a main character. I'd come back for the Plantains, the Snapper, and the Brussels sprouts. All in all, we had a wonderful dining experience.More infoChef's Kitchen & CocktailsPrice: Very Expensive• American• Norfolk•4.8
- KKathleenCoastal North Carolina •6 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoAlways a pleasure to dine here! I appreciate the menu at this restaurant, including a few of my favorites, such as escargot, caviar, and Scottish salmon. Increasingly, salmon is difficult to find in Virginia restaurants because it is fashionable these days for restaurants to source their menu locally. Obviously, salmon is not a local fish, but it is delicious. I understand the appeal of the Farm to Table and locally sourced menu craze, but it is far too limiting for many customers. Therefore, I sincerely appreciate the diversity available at Byrd and Baldwin.More infoByrd and Baldwin Bros. SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Norfolk•4.7
