Restaurants near Quality Inn & Suites Lubbock

Our experience was on Valentines Day. They sat us right away, however the hostess indicated that we might not have a reservation. Something like "Our OpenTable sometimes lets reservations through that we do not know about." I am not sure exactly what she said but it seemed like she was not expecting us. She did have a very lengthy reservation list and had already turned away the group in front of us that did not have reservations. She did seat us without further difficulty at a booth for two by the bar and we were fine with that. The server seemed swamped and put in an order for Kung Pao Chicken when we ordered beef, along with our other order of the Spicy Chicken. Simple mistake, we didn't even say anything because we knew we would love the chicken. When we ordered we advised the server that we would like the Trio Sauce and he thanked us for letting him know then because he knew he would be very busy. Then he completely forgot and we had to ask him for it after beginning out meal. The food was great, we didn't let the little things keep us from enjoying it, however it is sad that we seem to be getting used to levels of service that would not have been acceptable not that long ago. Our tip was generous and we were happy. I just hope that servers and hostesses can learn from these silly little mistakes because some patrons just wont let them slide.

The food was excellent! We had the chicken piccata and French opera cake for desert. Every bite was perfect (even on valentines dinner, when usually food quality and service drop at other restaurants). The tiramisu martini and lovers spritz were wonderful as well. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Every aspect of the dining experience was spot on, which is especially impressive considering it was Valentine night and the restaurant was packed. Service and food were above average, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the exceptional meal we enjoyed. Double Nickel is a jewel in Lubbock’s crown!

We had the tenderloin steak and shrimp which was amazing! The steak had a great flavor and was very tender. The shrimp was big and grilled perfectly. Our waitress was very attentive and kept checking back with us. This is now my favorite steakhouse in Lubbock.

Food was delicious! The hummus is so flavorful! Doesn't taste so typical. The pork chop was cooked to leave a faint pink, very, very moist and a delicious crust. Veggies were also well pan roasted with good color and flavor.
