We were seated immediately and service throughout our lunch was impeccable. We started with Champagne recommeneded by the sommelier and it was wonderful. The prix fixe menu offered a good variety of selections. We both opted for the beet and pistachio salad, which was an excellent combination of red and yellow beets, a few mandarin orange segments and a small scoop of goat cheese with a crust of pistachios. My seatmate had the striped bass and found it delicious. I had the crab risotto which was perfect—good chunks of crab and creamy risotto. Dessert was beignets for me and a complimentary birthday cake and ice cream bon bon with candle for my seat mate. To round things out, a Champagne by the glass and an espresso. Woodside Pub must also be complimented for the ambience. The room was elegant without being pretentious or overwrought. And the lighting was perfect - not too bright or too dark, just right to flatter but far from the harsh lighting found in some establishments.

This restaurant is seriously one of my favorite restaurants in the whole wide world having eaten there since they opened over 25 years ago it has always been amazing. Continues to be amazing on every level food wine list service it is like going home. The food is superior amazing And a must always.

I went for lunch on a weekday afternoon with a friend. Ordered the mimosas which were good. We split the chicken club sandwich. It came on a large piece of a French bread loaf. Too difficult to eat. It would be better on sliced French bread or softer bread. We rode in the elevator with other diners who had the salads and said they were great. Service was exceptional.

Absolutely delicious! They really went all out on my son’s birthday from champagne to a mini cocktail to a dessert with a candle to little sweet candies at the end. Made his 21st feel so special!

We had been looking for our new “go to” Italian place in the Bay Area after a few of them closed down, so we tried Che Fico and weren’t disappointed. Everything was delicious from start to finish. Easy parking in the underground car park was a bonus too.
