Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. La Gruta in Teotihuacan is a unique dining experience set inside a stunning natural cave—a truly memorable spot. The ambiance is amazing, and the cool, earthy vibe of the cave adds to the magic of dining near the ancient pyramids. The food was fantastic, with flavors that felt both authentic and refined. Dishes were beautifully presented, and everything we ordered was delicious. That said, be prepared for a bit of a splurge. Main dishes typically range from $20 to $25, and specialty drinks like margaritas can go over $15. It’s definitely one of the pricier spots around, but if you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind experience and quality, it’s worth it!
