The Palazzo Della Gherardesca was unusual for its time in that its main interior space, the atrium, was originally designed as a secondary courtyard. Now covered with a glass roof, like the courtyard Lobby, the Hotel’s Atrium Bar occupies a vast sun-lit and decorative space, serving lunch, dinner, and the typical Italian aperitif, afternoon tea, desserts, coffee and cocktails. Bar & wine selection as well as recommendations outstanding! Food excellent. Crown Royal would expand a nice selection. One complaint I was embarrassed at check out my AMEX was refused! A year ago at my last visit to Florence no issues but had to have a customer pay unacceptable! That will prevent future return without change. Otherwise very satisfied customer! Ken B.
