The award-winning, full-service Skillet Diner is opening in the iconic Post Alley of Seattle in June 2023. We’re a neighborhood joint doing our best to make the place feel relaxed, service attentive and easy, and the food approachable yet focused. We use fresh, locally sourced ingredients and continually redefine the meaning of comfort. The style of food is like what we’re known for on the airstream. The difference? We have so much more room! Bring a date, your kids, or your out-of-town guests and an appetite. We look forward to putting some tasty treats in your belly.

Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the food and drinks are superb, so is the view and so is service (for the most part). I almost always order from the special or seasonal menu, and this time was no exception. Winter salad, scallops, special drink and espresso. The ingredients are simple but masterfully prepared. Sometimes difficult to get a reservation, so worth planning ahead. Highly recommend.

Excellent sushi, excellent service. Sushi Kashiba's omakase experience is very much like in Japan, with your own sushi chef for a party of 2. The preparations were all delicious, using local seafood and seafood from around the world, including Japan, Spain, British Columbia, etc. I know very little about sake and asked the server for help in making a selection. She got me exactly what I wanted, despite my inability to describe it well. The omakase experience is not cheap, especially after adding drinks, service charge, and tax, but sometimes, you get what you pay for. It's not the kind of experience one can get just anywhere in the USA and I enjoy myself at Sushi Kashiba every time I go there.

I chose this restaurant simply because the description sounded interesting to me. We wanted to eat out for Thanksgiving and the more traditional places were either closed or closed to further reservations. There were some TG-ish options available, but we decided to go Asian for the meal. We had the Seven Elements soup (a Thai take on chicken noodle soup with a curry flavor and crunchy noodles on top) as the starter, the Green Curry Chicken, and the Assam Prawns. Everything was delicious! I was impressed that the last section of the shell had been removed from the prawn while leaving the tail in place. The restaurant sits on the corner of 3rd and Union, but the entrance is farther down 3rd Ave than I expected. Signage on the sidewalk or hanging above the sidewalk would be helpful. We found a parking lot about a half-block away; evening parking rate was $10.
