Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang.     We had such a fabulous time! Food was great, our waiter was awesome, and drinks were delish! The French Onion Soup was the best I have ever had, the escargot was amazing! I had a French martini which I enjoyed so much. I had their signature chicken dish that was cooked perfectly, my husband had their steak and frites which was delicious as welll;) Definitely will be going back

    Bryant elevated the experience with his stories. The food was incredible and the the drinks were superb. Didn’t have space for dessert but it truly is a great experience.

    Great place to eat, everyone was polite and went out of their way to make our time there a good one. We were seated within a few minutes after arriving. Once we ordered food it came fairly quick. Our waitress was super friendly.

    I am very, very picky about Mexican food, and let me tell you:Javier's is Magnificent. First, a tasty jalapeno marg that actually has some bite. The Aguachile Del Rey was superb, as good as, or better than anything I've had in Vallarta, and I've never had octopus that was this tender. The braised pork chile verde was MASTERFUL, just absolute perfection (I know because this is something I've attempted at home many times, without success). Beautiful, intimate/enveloping yet airy setting on the casino floor. HIGHLY recommend. Thank you Carmen for your help today!
