Seasonal Local American Cuisine. We use many local products from local farmers. We are located about a mile west of the University of Virginia campus. Historic old home turned into a restaurant. Three small intimate dining rooms upstairs, one on the ground floor and a large weather protected patio. In the winter the Patio is heated. Family owned since 1995. Clementine serves weekday lunch, weekend brunch and dinner every night on our main floor and patio (weather permitting) until at least 9PM.     We showed up (very) early for our reservation and they accommodated us. Their raw oysters were ice cold, briny, fresh, clean and already loosened from their shells…just the way they should be. Perfection.

    The atmosphere was casual. The food was amazing. We started with a black bean hummus appetizer. My friend had the catfish soup and I had the sirloin and duck fat fries. I ordered three specialty sauces to compliment the meat. It was one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. Fries were great too. We took home a dessert because we were so full but we couldn’t pass up one of their homemade treats. Missy was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable of the menu and very friendly. We would definitely go back and try another dish next time in town.

    We had an excellent evening. The service, the food , the atmosphere were all wonderful. The cost was very reasonable for the quality we received. Highly recommend the Ridge Room.
