Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018. The staff did such a great job taking care of us! I called ahead of time to let them know I would be proposing on Valentine's Day. They were quick to make sure we had a great table, a rose for her, complimentary Champagne and dessert. The best part was that all I asked for was help taking pictures, they went all out and were at the ready with a Polaroid camera and made my fiance feel so special. Thank you for being part of our perfect night ❤️

Food and service was good. Thought the entree prices were high. Beef filet should not have fat. Needed to be trimmed. Flavor was good but needed to be hotter. Cooked medium which was correct.

I had the buffalo steak and my wife had the steak tacos. Both of us enjoyed our meal as well as nachos for an appetizer. The portions were great, so much so that we didn't have room for dessert.
