Irrawaddy Taste of Burma is family run and owned restaurant featuring Burmese cuisine from Co-Owner & Chef Banny Hong. Growing up in Burma now known as the country of Myanmar, Banny wanted to share the his families traditional recipes and popular items that you can only find in Burma. The cuisine is inspired by its neighboring nations but its truly its own unique flavors, that must be tried. The majority of the dishes are prepared from scratch from raw whole ingredients focusing on healthy and light dishes. Our menu for the people of Southern California by dialing down some ingredients, like fish paste, and added more vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes.

A Family Tradition For Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only. Good food- just very busy so service not so great as had to ask for silverware and napkins and one food order that took too long and was not how ordered. But they offered free pie slices to make up for it.
