We love the Gandy Dancer! Venerable institution. I've been going there for decades. Food is lovely, although the presentation seems less than desirable (all white food, say, on a white plate...). The duck - divine. But I have been twice in less than 2 weeks, and the service was slow with drinks coming AFTER the salad. The waitress - the same one both times - did not seem to be able to "read the table"... She was described as "annoying" by one of us. (I think she was doing her best.) Clearly, negatively affected the meal. I now know to ask not to be seated in her section. All that said, the atmosphere is lovely and can't be beat. And when the train rolls by, clap.

It had been a while since we ate there but much has improved. The service was great and food very good. And this time the kitchen was much more timely in getting meals prepared. We’re going to come back again sooner👍

Very impressed. Cocktail & French wines were superior. Strip steak, med rare, was thick, jucy and perfectly cooked. Brussel sprouts with crispy sweet edges and succulent centers. Best swordfish ever, juicy & tender, al dente pasta with picatta sauce and extra butter was divine! Asparagus cooked perfectly. Berry topped cheesecake was excellent. One of the best meals we've had in town. Server Ethan, was excellent, knowledgeable and personable. Cozy ambiance. Highly recommend.

We had a great Christmas dinner at Red Lobster. Thanks to all who worked ! Great food and drinks !
