Restaurants near Suwanee Canal Recreation Area

We had a very good dining experience at Lagniappe. It is a very popular restaurant for good reason. The ambience and food are both very good. When making a reservation, I would suggest requesting a preference of either the main dining room or the front dining room. They are both very pleasant but very different. 

Jared was a delightful knowledgable server and professional. I loved the Pomegranate Sour Mocktail on the menu. It was a huge shift and served in stemware. For starters: my husband tried the octopus. He wants to know why this isn’t on more menus prepared to perfection. The oysters I had had the sweet finish described The lamb Bolognese was 12 stars from flavor to the homemade pasta. His NY strip was a perfect med rare and the preparation enhanced meat rather than drown it out. It was a quiet setting and nice to be able to hear each other. Definitely a top meal.

Great overall experience tonight. Great bar service prior to getting seated. Got seated a few minutes prior to our reservation at our request. The happy hour was in force so our drinks were a little discounted. The seafood tower was magnificent! The filet and the pork chop were amazing. The duck fat cornbread was super-unique. You must get the tower! it would be appropriate for an entree to share by 4 people. Lovely experience.

The food and service were extraordinary. The ambience lovely. It is expensive, so more of a "special occasion" type of place. We celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary and enjoyed the octopus appetizer (Fabulous), with entrees of Sea Bass and Wagyu Beef - both excellent, along with mushroom risotto ( tasty, quite light ), and banana cheesecake (unique and delicious)! It's a cozy environment with no view; service (Zack) was excellent and knowledgeable. Worth the visit to celebrate!

I booked the Valentine’s dinner for my best friend and myself. We both did the Ruth’s pairing. Not pictured were our Caesar and Steakhouse salads bc we truly demolished them before remembering to take any pictures LOL The steak & shrimp were impeccable. The mashed potatoes were a little unseasoned but that is an easy fix. My French 75 was delicious! The view was amazing & we both received a complementary red rose after our dinner. I also need to give a special shout out to Corey! I had a wardrobe malfunction and he went completely out of his way to ensure that I had the help I needed to continue my day. So thank you so so much to Corey!
