Welcome to The Boat Inn.The Boat Inn Penkridge was built at the same time as the Staffs and Worcs Canal in 1779 and is one of the old ‘Gateways’ to the Village, for many years it was the first or last stopping point, as locals and visitors travelled along the Cannock Road.     We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted immediately and shown to our table by a really lovely lady, I had requested a quiet table and the table they gave us was perfect … Food was great , loads of choice , no one pestered us at all and we really enjoyed it there ….. I would recommend it to anyone , the place and the people are lovely . Will definitely go back for sure ….

    Had breakfast here today as start to 80th birthday celebration. Can’t fault it. Fire going Xmas tree decorated, what’s not to love. Ambience was fab - guy who served us was great. Food was fine. Thoroughly enjoyable start to the day.

    Brilliant 🤩 from arrival we were greeted with brilliant service right until the end of our outstanding meal. The meal itself was fresh and plentiful would well out do any hotel food. Atmosphere was also brilliant all ages. Thank you to the brilliant staff for making our visit so memorable⭐️ we will definitely be using the hen house again
