Gin & Cocktail Bar The original 1840s sandstone walls of the building Frank Mac’s now occupies a 120-person capacity bar which flows from outdoor seating on George Street, across two levels and into a back courtyard. Whereas the downstairs space feels cosy and intimate, dotted with vintage leather banquettes, dark jade and light orange velvet armchairs, low tables and a fireplace, the ground level you’ll walk into off George Street will reflect the energy of the bartenders working behind the almost five-metre-long oak bar. We, a party of four, use the Theatre Bar at the End of the Wharf, regularly for pre-theatre dining and it never disappoints. The menu and the wine list are broad enough to provide variety without being overwhelming and are reasonably priced. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff are outstanding - always pleasant and helpful. Wouldn’t eat anywhere else.

This was our wedding anniversary. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. A bit of noise from the bar downstairs but not intrusive. Cruise ship was delayed and ended up parked outside our window. We were grateful that the restaurant refunded our booking fee. All in all a great night, very happy.
