We are a small, family run restaurant since 2002 specialising in carefully sourced Aberdeen Angus beef from Scottish small highland farms, cooked simply but with flair and attention to detail.Our emphasis is on high quality local ingredients and fresh produce from the best of local suppliers. Beef is selected, prepared and hung for us by Award wining "John Gilmour" of Macmerry master butchers since 1946. Fresh fish are delivered daily by Calum Sinclair and J.K Thompsons. West coast Mussels are delivered fresh daily by "Sea Mcgee". Our venison comes from wild Perthshire deer, lamb from the Scottish Borders. Artisan and farmhouse British cheeses are supplied by renowned Edinburgh cheesemonger, Iain Mellis and dairy produce from Fife Creamery. The halloumi fries were divine. We will be thinking about it for the next 10 years. So so yummy. The staff were so friendly and everything tasted so yummy we didn’t have time for dessert but we definitely would go back.

Very pleasant visit, the service was a little slow, understandable as they were busy for lunch on New Year's Day, however the service was good, polite and helpful. Good food, good drinks, a nice ambience and not too noisy. Overall a 5* experience.
